Personal data protection conditions​

These conditions govern the processing of personal data of individuals who applied or were sent to the Altair rehabilitation center (hereinafter referred to as the center). For all questions related to the processing of personal data, you can contact our specialist responsible for the processing of personal data, Olga Krylova, by email altairkeskus@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If you believe that we have violated your rights to process personal data, you can file a complaint with the center management or the Data Protection Inspectorate at Väike-Ameerika 19, Tallinn 10129, e-postiaadress info@aki.ee.

You have the right to contact the center and find out what data we are processing regarding you or your child, if necessary, request its change, deletion, limit the processing of personal data, if this does not contradict the requirements of the law, you can also submit your objections to the processing of personal data. To do this, you need to provide a digitally signed application to the email address altairkeskus@gmail.com , to which we will respond to you within 30 days.

Personal data processed by the center

Personal data includes any data of an individual that can identify him. In addition to personal data (name, surname, personal code, address, phone number, etc.), the center processes a special category of personal data that relates to the physical and mental health status of patients. The data is provided to the center by the patient and/or his legal representative, and/or the organization responsible for the processing of personal data. The personal data of patients that we process is stored by the center for 10 years.

Circumstances under which the center processes your personal data:

Providing rehabilitation or social services in our center we process your personal data and/or your children when you contact our center to receive services. In order to provide you with rehabilitation or social services, in addition to the information you provide, we may additionally request your data from medical institutions, the social department, the social department at your place of residence, an educational institution, as well as from other persons who can provide additional information based on the legislation of the Republic of Estonia. The data we request will help us provide you with services based on the legislation of the Republic of Estonia or on the basis of a service agreement concluded with us. Thus, we process your personal data either on the basis of the legislation of the Republic of Estonia, or on the basis of a written agreement, which states your consent to the processing of personal data. We may also ask you for your separate written consent to the processing of personal data before entering into a contract.

Sending a request, proposal, complaint to the center

We record all written requests that are sent to our center. We also use your data to find out the circumstances of the case, which will help respond to requests sent to us. We forward letters containing a special category of data or send them in encrypted form by email or registered mail. 

Requests regarding the release of personal data, including a special category of data. We issue to persons who have the right to do so under the legislation of the Republic of Estonia. Such persons may be the person himself, his legal representative, the police, the Social Department, the Unemployment Insurance Fund, the Health Insurance Fund, etc. Requests sent from individuals, letters, claims, applications are stored by the center for 5 years, then deleted.

Phone calls to the center

If a call is received to the contact telephone number of the center, we can record and save a record of calls for a year. Calls are recorded in order to improve the quality of service and to resolve possible claims. 

There may be surveillance cameras on the territory of the center. Using automatic video recording, the center provides:

  • security and order;
  • in the event of a conflict situation, the video recording is used to prove and clarify all the circumstances;

Only the specialist responsible for processing personal data has access to the video recording. The video recording is stored for 30 days and then automatically destroyed. In the rooms of our center, video recording can be made to monitor the quality of the procedures and services provided. Video recording in the office can only be made with the written consent of the patient or his legal representative. This recording can only be viewed by the patient and his legal representative, the receptionist and the head of the center. Without the prior consent of the patient and/or his legal representative, the video recording is not saved.

When you visit our home page, we see your IP address, the name of your computer and your Internet operator, as well as the time of your visit. We do not identify the IP address with the identity of the site visitor.

When applying for a job in our center If you apply for a job in our center, we store the personal data you submit for three years. During this period, we may contact you with a job offer if the job was initially refused to you. If you do not want us to offer you a job in our center after the initial refusal, please send us a written application to altairkeskus@gmail.com so that your personal data is deleted from our candidate database. Legislative acts:

Regulation on the protection of personal data of the EU, legislative acts of the Republic of Estonia regulating the activities of the center and the conditions for the processing of personal data in this regard (social security law, law on the organization of medical services, etc.). 

Contract for the provision of rehabilitation services. When concluding an agreement for the provision of rehabilitation services the patient or legal representative gives consent to the processing of personal data under the terms of the contract. Consent If the patient or legal representative contacts the center to obtain information before concluding the contract and if there are also no conditions governing the legislation of the Republic of Estonia, then the center first asks for consent to the processing of personal data to provide any information from the center.
